Sleep? What is this thing you call sleep?

I am officially becoming one of those stereotypical college kids where sleep is concerned.  I would sleep all day if it was possible and stay up all night if I could.  There's just a few problems with this.

  1. I am a night owl.  It starts getting dark and I get a ton of energy.  Last night it was 1 am and I wanted to go for a walk or write a story or do something, but walking that late alone is not safe and I doubt my roommate would enjoy the gentle glow and the clicking of keys coming from my laptop.
  2. I have classes.
  3. One of said classes starts at 8:30 am.
  4. Everyone else I know goes to bed at a decent hour except for one guy, but he watches scary movies most of the time.  (Scary Movies + Me = A Not Good Combination)
I talk about going to bed early, but it never happens.  And if I do manage to get to bed "early" (1 am is early, right?), I just stare at the ceiling as thoughts chase themselves around my head.  And before I know it, only a few minutes have passed even though it feels like hours.  This is fine once in a while, but Every. Single. Night. is a bit ridiculous.
Maybe I should just pull an all nighter one day and things would go back to normal.  Or it would just result in my sleeping being even more screwed up, but hey, a girl can dream.  Or ya know, maybe not if she can't sleep in the first place.

The Obligatory Introduction

I felt like I had to make this blog.  I was following so many different blogs, but I would forget to check them and it was just a mess, *deep breathe* SO here I am!
Here are a few things I think it is important to know about me.

  •   First, my name is Chelsea.  I know that the first rule of the internet when we were younger was "Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, give ANYONE your name!  EVER!", but I have since broken that rule about a bajillion times so its all good (I hope!).
  • Secondly, I was raised in a place called Parkersburg, West Virginia.  No, one leg is not longer than the other and no I don't talk like a hick or like to go muddin' on the weekends either.  And yes, we are a state, so stop trying to tell me I'm from Western Virginia.
  • About two months ago (give or take a week), I moved to this lovely little town of Cedar City to go to Southern Utah University where I am majoring in Creative Writing and minoring in Photography, but all that is subject to change.
  • I don't think I'm abnormally narcissistic (I believe everyone is to some degree).  I just thought it was a cool title for a blog.
That's about all you need to know.  Everything else will be told in due time.
